For Ritu Thakur, her sister testing positive for COVID-19 came as a shock, mostly because she hadn't stepped out of the house in 3 months. When Ritu got fever the next day, she knew what was coming.


"I got a swab shoved up my nose 4 times. The next day, I was told I had tested positive. I wasn't surprised"

28-year-old Ritu, Spoke to FIT about her COVID journey, the symptom that impacted her the most - anosmia, the loss of smell and taste.

A temporary loss of smell and taste is a neurological symptom, and one of the most commonly reported in COVID-19. Some studies have suggested that it helps better predict the viral disease compared to the more common symptoms like fever, cough and fatigue.
