Yoga May Help Fight Cancer Related Symptoms, Say Studies

Yoga has been considered as a great way to maintain fitness and to gain flexibility. It has been observed over the years that Yoga has been successful to treat and control many diseases.

Keeping in mind these benefits, Yoga is now being celebrated every year. It is celebrated every year, ever since the United Nations General Assembly declared 21 June as International Yoga Day.

Studies that have been carried out over the years show that Yoga can help cure cancer related symptoms in people, as per a report in News18.

One of the studies also found that women who had breast cancer could fight the cancer related fatigue with the help of Yoga.

Other studies have found that along with cancer related symptoms and fatigue, Yoga can also help fight stress, improve mood and the quality of sleep in the people who regularly practice it. A study found that people who practiced Yoga had improved patterns of sleep in a group of people who were battling insomnia.

Along with these benefits, a study also found that Yoga was also beneficial for several physical and psycho social symptoms. For this study, researchers evaluated 23 physical and 20 psycho-social outcomes.

Yoga also had moderate to large size of effects for psycho social outcomes on patients who were suffering from breast cancer.
