COVID-19 India: Total Cases Cross 22L in India, Over 44K deaths

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country have crossed 22 lakhs, while more than 44 thousand patients have died.

On 10 August, it was informed by the Union Ministry of Health that a total of 22,15,074 cases have been confirmed so far in the country.

In the past 24 hours, there have been 62,064 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,007 deaths.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 2,45,83,558 samples of coronavirus have been tested so far, of which 4,77,023 samples were tested on 9 August.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the total number of COVID-19 cases worldwide has crossed the figure of 1.97 crores, while the number of deaths has exceeded 7,29,000.

America is the most affected country in the world with 50,44,435 cases of infections and 1,62,919 deaths. Brazil takes the second position with 3,035,422 cases and 1,01,049 deaths. At the same time, India is at number three on this list.
