On 13 August, the total number of coronavirus cases in India have reached close to 24 lakh while more than 47 thousand people have died. Speaking about recovery, more than 70 percent of patients have recovered so far.

- Total Cases - 23,96,637
- Active Case - 6,53,622
- Discharge - 16,95,982
- Death- 47,033
According to the Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, 66,999 new cases have been confirmed and 942 deaths have occurred.
In the first week of July, 15,000 cases were coming daily, which has increased to more than 50 thousand daily in the first week of August.
The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday, August 12 that effective Containment strategy, clinical management along with aggressive and effective testing are being implemented in the country.
