He grew up in a village in Punjab, his family still lives there and Hindi is his first choice of language. And today, Satnam Singh has become the first Indian ever to be part of the NBA.

The 19-year-old was the number 52 pick for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Draft on Friday. Satnam Singh is now part of 60 young men who will play NBA basketball for the first time next season.
